Michelle began her career in investments in 1992 joining Emerging Markets Investors Corporation as an Analyst. She was responsible for finding and analysing equities in Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia and the Indian subcontinent. In 1996, Ms. Mijung joined Lloyd George Management as Asia ex-Japan equity Portfolio Manager. She was responsible for managing institutional and retail equity funds invested in Asia ex-Japan. She joined TCW Asia Ltd. (Trust Company of the West) in 1998. From 1999 to 2001, she worked as the sole Portfolio Manager at TCW. In 2001, Ms. Mijung joined AXA Investments as a Regional Portfolio Manager managing Asia ex-Japan, Asia Pacific ex-Japan (including Australia & New Zealand) as well as Asia funds including Japan. In 2004, she joined HSBC Asset Management as a Senior Regional Portfolio Manager. Ms. Mijung is the winner of several Lipper Awards including Best Regional Asia ex-Japan MPF Funds.
Michelle is a CFA Institute charterholder since 1999 and is fluent in English, Korean, and French. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and French from Bryn Mawr College and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
