Sang-Won Kim


Sang Won began his career in investment banking for Citibank in Seoul, completing several M&A transactions for leading Korean conglomerates (chaebols) and global private equity firms. He subsequently moved to management consulting working at Monitor Group and Accenture’s strategy practice in Seoul. He was also a founding member of Monitor Ventures Korea, established to raise and manage venture capital funds.

In 2005, Sang Won joined Schroder Investment Management in Seoul where he was a member of the Asia ex-Japan equity investment team, later moving to Allianz Global Investors (formerly RCM Asia Pacific) as portfolio manager focussing on dedicated Korean equity funds.

Sang Won is fluent in Korean and English and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.
